Dematic is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support multi-state payroll processing for U.S. hourly employees (1500+) and Canada (300+). The role is hybrid and can be based in Grand Rapids, MI or Milwaukee, WI, requiring three days in-office.

You will verify employee data in Workday, ADP WFN Canada, and UKG, generate reports, and respond to inquiries while collaborating on mergers, acquisitions, and system implementations to optimize payroll operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll processing experience, multi-state preferred.
• Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivots) and payroll systems.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process multi-state payroll for U.S. hourly and Canada staff.
• Verify employee data in payroll systems (Workday, ADP WFN Canada, UKG).
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to departments and managers.
• Respond to employee inquiries and third-party agencies.
• Assist in mergers and acquisitions integrations.
• Support system implementations and optimize payroll processes.
