Job summary

Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) is seeking a Special Programs Loan Processor/Closer to support its Affordable Housing initiatives. The role involves gathering and validating documents for CHFA special programs, such as EMAP and RAM, and coordinating closing efforts with attorneys and underwriters.

The candidate will manage pre-closing file preparation, screening for eligibility, and ensuring timely disclosures and document accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business or related area or 3+ years mortgage processing experience.
• Familiarity with TRID disclosures and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact between applicants, underwriter, loan servicer, and closing attorney.
• Enter loan details into CHFA's Loan Origination System.
• Analyze income, assets, value, and hardship validation within 24 hours of application.
• Prepare and send disclosures including TRID within 72 hours.
• Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Request missing documents to submit to the underwriter.
• Order credit reports, appraisals, and title searches when applicable.
• Coordinate loan closings between closing attorney and applicant.
