Carrington Mortgage Services seeks an experienced Late Stage Collections Specialist II to counsel borrowers on methods to bring loans current and explore alternatives. You will negotiate workouts and modifications, acting as the single point of contact for borrowers while ensuring compliance with regulations.

The role operates on a hybrid schedule in California with base pay of $24.50 per hour plus monthly incentives; bilingual EN/ES adds a $1.50 per hour differential.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in collections, loss mitigation, or single point of contact in a call center.
• 2+ years in Banking, Mortgage/Loan Servicing industries.
• Strong knowledge of FDCPA.
• Strong knowledge of relevant software packages.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Negotiation skills to resolve calls in the interest of both company and borrower.
• Proficient in higher level math to calculate borrower payments.
• Ability to understand moderately complex collection issues and propose alternatives.

Aufgaben

• Explain mortgage loan information, HUD Waterfall, workout options to borrowers.
• Evaluate borrower's ability to pay and collect financial information for first-call resolution.
• Counsel borrowers on options through education of alternative solutions.
• Contact borrowers via automated and manual outbound calls.
• Offer loan modifications, short sales, Deed in Lieu, or refinancing alternatives.
• Negotiate reasonable payment arrangements and assemble required documents.
• Serve as single point of contact for borrowers.
• Elevate complex cases to Loss Mitigation as needed.
• Provide status on payments, payoff inquiries, and loan servicing info.
