STAR Financial Bank seeks a Mortgage Case Opening Processor at its headquarters to handle loan documentation, disclosures, and file setup for underwriting. The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory adherence, and timely processing within a hybrid work model.

You will review LE disclosures, adjust fees as needed, and coordinate with loan officers to clear file deficiencies while ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years mortgage experience in loan documentation and delivery.
• Experience with Federal and State compliance laws.
• Strong arithmetic: rate, ratio, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit mortgage applications per corporate fee matrices.
• Disclose required LE and other documents per state/federal guidelines.
• Modify LE fees per corporate standard matrices and accuracy check disclosures.
• Review Loan Estimates and disclosure packages for compliance before sending to borrowers.
• Ensure change of circumstance requests and file docs are accurate and timely.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable compliance regulations for disclosures.
• Assist in reducing errors and improving tolerance cure processes.
• Generate application packages and ensure timely file setup for Underwriter review.
• Review DU findings to confirm all documents are present for underwriting.
• Maintain communication with Loan Officer on incomplete/incorrect information.
• Adhere to bank, state and federal regulations in job functions.
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
