Job summary

Sunshine Restoration Group in the Charlotte Metro area seeks a Mitigation Specialist for a full-time hybrid role combining on-site mitigation work with office documentation and coordination. You will assess water, fire, and mold damage, set up dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and containment barriers, document conditions, and communicate findings to customers and insurers.

Qualifications

• Mitigation and hazard mitigation experience with water, fire, mold damage control.
• Analytical skills to assess damage and develop mitigation plans.
• Strong communication with clients, teammates, and insurance partners.
• Understanding of emergency management in property restoration.
• Knowledge of restoration tools and safety practices (PPE).
• Ability to lift equipment and work in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• HS diploma; IICRC certs preferred but not required.
• Experience in restoration, construction, or facilities maintenance is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess water, fire, and mold damage and implement mitigation measures.
• Set up equipment such as dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and containment barriers.
• Document site conditions and prepare reports.
• Communicate findings, timelines, and next steps to customers and insurers.
• Coordinate with emergency management and restoration teams.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Occasional evenings or weekends for urgent mitigation needs.
