Job summary

Atlas Copco in Houston, TX is seeking a Method Engineer to develop and maintain standardized assembly methods, visual work instructions, PFMEA analyses, and line-balancing models for flexible, low-throughput-time production lines.

You will configure lines for pump assembly, specify tooling, and develop processes for accurate material tracking, damage control, and just-in-time replenishment. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in methods or process engineering.
Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
Experience with Power BI.
Familiarity with ISO 9001/ISO 14001/ISO 45001 standards.
Background with large-scale industrial pumps or related equipment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain standardized assembly methods and visual work instructions.
Configure lines for pump assembly and service; specify tooling and equipment.
Develop processes for material tracking, damage control, and JIT replenishment.
Identify automation or ergonomic enhancements to prevent line stoppages and injuries.
Implement and monitor poka-yoke and first-time-right processes.
