Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize processes, improve manufacturing capabilities, and cut product costs through operational efficiency. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead lean initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions from design to production.

Responsibilities include time studies, tooling optimization, and creation of work procedures, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or sciences with supporting manufacturing or operations experience.
Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly or operations environment.
Experience with Lean manufacturing, 6S and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Develops/improves manufacturing processes and capabilities to reduce product cost and improve efficiency.
Drives continuous improvement in quality, cycle times, cost reduction, and process optimization using lean techniques and value engineering.
Performs time studies to optimize routings and balance assembly processes.
Manages manufacturing tooling definitions, setups, and optimization for automated equipment.
Ensures value stream mapping and proper logistical flows for manufacturing cells.
