Atlas Copco Group Co.,Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop new in-house or external processes and capabilities to reduce assembly costs. The role provides engineering support to operations, drives Kaizen and Lean initiatives, and defines routings, data changes, and tooling needs.

You will perform time studies, create SOPs and drawings, and collaborate with customers and vendors to improve production techniques. On-site work in the Saugerties, NY facility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, mechanical or manufacturing preferred. Industry experience considered in absence of degree.
• Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing, assembly or operations environment.
• Experience/knowledge of Kaizen, 6S, Lean Manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
• Advanced Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Project, SolidWorks.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (Encompix beneficial).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in project management and leading improvement projects.
• Demonstrated skill and achievement in implementing Lean practices in an operations environment.

Responsabilités

• Provides manufacturing engineering support to the operational team where needed.
• Implement changes to data systems and maintain data system integrity; charges include change orders, non-conformance tracking, system routings.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in support of objectives for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost Performance.
• Performs time studies for assembly processes to create correct routings and optimize balancing.
• Accounts for definition, setup, preparation and optimization of Job orders and manufacturing tooling.
• Interface with customer as requested in a technical support capacity.
• Interface with colleagues, customers, vendors and others to understand requirements, assess feasibility of new/existing products, and improve production techniques.
• Creates and maintains SOPs, technical specifications for manufacturing equipment, test specs.
• Document designs with drawings, specification and materials list.
• Performs active training process, procedures, documentation, and traceability to create workforce competences within allocated manufacturing cells.
• Respectfully takes direction from manager and other duties as assigned.
