Job summary

Target is seeking a Merchandise Planner to join our Planning organization in Minneapolis. You will forecast seasonal demand, analyze checkpoints, and provide the financial guidance that links Merchandising and Supply Chain to drive optimal inventory and profitability.

You will lead open-to-buy decisions, validate forecast accuracy, and translate data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams and vendors. This role requires a four-year degree and 2–6 years merchandising experience.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience
• 2–6 years of relevant experience
• 3+ years of Merchandising experience
• Strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills; can translate data into insights
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams
• Flexible, resilient and comfortable working in changing environments

Responsibilities

• Forecast and analyze holiday and seasonal performance to inform inventory
• Serve as a financial link between Merchandising and Supply Chain
• Lead open-to-buy processes and category investment decisions
• Conduct root-cause analysis for supply-demand variations
• Develop in-season decision support and assortment planning
• Communicate implications to vendors and cross-functional teams
