Job summary

Ardurra's RVE division in Durham, NC seeks a licensed Mechanical Engineer Team Lead to guide the MEP division, overseeing design, project management, and client relationships. You will partner with the Practice Director, Group Leader, and Project Managers to support projects ranging from K-12 to healthcare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina.
• 10+ years of design and construction experience on buildings and MEP systems.
• Proven leadership, project management, and client-relations skills.
• MEP experience in K-12, higher education, healthcare, life sciences, municipal, or state facilities preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Revit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the MEP team in the Durham, NC office.
• Lead MEP design and project management for diverse projects.
• Develop and implement MEP design strategies compliant with codes.
• Act as main client contact and maintain relationships.
• Financial planning, budgeting, and target achievement.
• Negotiate fees, contracts, and deliverables.
• Drive business development to expand the MEP Division in Raleigh/Durham.
• Secure new opportunities and client work.
• Ensure adequate office resources.
• Hire staff and manage team structure.
