Hybrid Medical Scheduling Specialist - Inbound CSR

Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's ProHealth Physicians in Farmington, CT seeks a full-time customer service specialist to handle inbound scheduling for our network of offices. The role combines phone support with accurate data entry in our practice management and EMR systems, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

After training, you will work a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, within standard hours 8:00 am–6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience.
• Must be 18 years of age OR older.
• Computer proficiency (keyboard skills and/or experience with scheduling and/or electronic medical records systems).
• Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday with 8-hour shifts, hybrid onsite after training (3 days onsite, 2 days from home).

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound inquiries and appointment scheduling requests for medical services.
• Schedule appointments in practice management system per triage guideline, scheduling protocols and patient preferences.
• Make outbound calls to eligible patients.
• Provide education on additional services or preventive health opportunities.
• Listen to patient concerns and offer appropriate recommendations based on guidelines.
• Call patients at risk for no-shows with appointment reminders.
• Document caller information in CRM.
• Provide feedback from callers for follow-up and/or resolution.
• Communicate with physician office staff on patient concerns and scheduling changes.
• Ensure actions comply with HIPAA and other guidelines.
