Job summary

ElevateDD in Ohio is seeking a part-time Coordinator, Medical Outreach to strengthen DSACO’s relationships with healthcare professionals and medical systems. You will connect families to medical resources, support healthcare education, and help DSACO remain a trusted partner in the Down syndrome medical community.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular presence with Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Down Syndrome Program and support DSACO resource navigation, referrals, and family connection.
• Build and maintain relationships with physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, social workers, hospitals, clinics, universities, and other healthcare partners.
• Provide healthcare professionals with current Down syndrome information, referral materials, and organizational resources, including materials accessible to diverse families.
• Coordinate the DSACO Medical Advisory Committee, including member recruitment, meeting logistics, communication, priorities, and follow-up.
• Respond to family inquiries about physicians, healthcare services, and medically related resources, and connect families to appropriate organizational and community supports.
