Job summary

CompDrug in Columbus, OH, seeks an Outreach Coordinator to connect pregnant individuals facing substance use or mental health concerns with treatment and resources. The role combines on-site work with field activity, and involves educating communities, coordinating care, and supporting admissions.

Hy­brid schedule (20% remote / 80% on-site) with some evenings or weekends. Reports to the Director of Programs and Grants.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ work experience in a healthcare or social service setting.
• Experience serving pregnant individuals, behavioral health or substance use populations.
• Ability to develop rapport with vulnerable individuals with empathy.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to gain knowledge of resources to educate others and reduce stigma.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school or GED with practical experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapport with pregnant community members in areas with higher substance use.
• Connect clients to treatment facilities and prenatal care when ready.
• Assist with admissions paperwork for treatment entry.
• Provide warm handoffs to CompDrug staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners.
• Serve as primary referral and linkage contact from community partners and individuals seeking treatment.
• Represent CompDrug at community events and with funders, in-person or virtual.
• Support pregnant individuals' access to treatment and resources through outreach and health education.
