ABA Pathways, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Billing Specialist in Ann Arbor, MI. The role requires prior medical billing experience and knowledge of ABA billing. The position is hybrid, blending in-office and remote work, and reports to the Director of Finance and the CEO.

Responsibilities include submitting claims (Medicaid included), communicating with insurers and patients, and managing denials and collections. Strong organizational and Excel skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Medical billing experience required.
• ABA billing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsabilités

• Use coded data to prepare and submit insurance claims (including Medicaid).
• Collaborate with insurers, providers, and patients to process claims.
• Communicate clearly with staff, clients, and insurers.
• Review and appeal unpaid or denied claims.
• Verify patients' insurance coverage and act as liaison with insurers.
• Handle collections of unpaid accounts and generate AR reports.
• Ensure processes align with ABA Billing requirements.
