Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and guest experience, acting as both receptionist and clinical support.

The role requires taking vitals, assisting with procedures, administering medications, and coordinating with labs. Strong organizational skills and patient-focused care are essential.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program is required.
• National or state MA certification/registration is preferred; required in states where certification is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, assist with procedures, and coordinate with labs.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document data in the medical record according to guidelines and communicate results to patients.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
