Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant collaborates with a primary care physician to deliver exceptional patient care and an outstanding guest experience. This role blends front-d desk responsibilities with clinical tasks, supporting a full spectrum of patient needs.

Minimum 1 year in primary care MA work, formal MA training, and CPR/BLS. Certification in some states is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in Primary Care.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals and perform venipuncture as needed.
• Administer medications and immunizations per physician order.
• Perform front-desk duties: scheduling, chart requests, and referrals.
• Document accurately in the medical record per guidelines.
• Coordinate with care team to address gaps in care.
