Job summary

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Pennsylvania MEP Engineering Firm expanding into Boulder and Denver, CO, to recruit a Mechanical Project Engineer in the Boulder, CO area. You will lead mechanical design for higher education, laboratory, and industrial projects; perform HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts; and coordinate with in‑house and external teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design within an MEP consulting environment.
• EIT preferred; PE an asset.
• HVAC design & load calculation experience; plumbing design a plus.
• Experience with Revit.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and energy efficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for higher education, laboratory/research and industrial projects.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts.
• Collaborate with in-house electrical engineers and external consultants on projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and sustainability practices.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits and construction administration.
