Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP seeks a Distinguished Technologist Mechanical Engineer (Network Infrastructure) to drive mechanical architecture, packaging, and integration across complex networking systems. This onsite role reports to the Head of Mechanical Engineering, leading hands-on design and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to meet aggressive product schedules.

The candidate will influence system-level decisions, oversee test and qualification, and mentor engineers

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 15+ years of electromechanical product development experience.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred. Experience with networking, server, storage, or telecom systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical development of complex networking systems from concept through production release and field support.
• Provide technical leadership for mechanical architecture, packaging, manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability.
• Engage in CAD reviews, prototype evaluation, tests, and root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Thermal, Reliability, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
