Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks).
• Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and materials science.
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies is a plus.
• Must be able to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Welkom, Free State.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for energy production and storage devices.
• Conduct performance analysis, simulations, and testing of prototype systems.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and documentation using CAD software.
• Collaborate with electrical and chemical engineers to integrate mechanical systems with other components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design and performance issues.
• Assist in the manufacturing and assembly process, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
• Research and recommend new materials and technologies to improve system efficiency and reliability.
• Support field testing and data analysis of deployed energy systems.
• Maintain accurate project records and contribute to technical reports.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
