Placements24 is seeking an Energy Systems Engineer in the Western Cape region who will design, implement, and optimize energy systems for diverse clients. The role blends on-site client engagement with office-based technical work within a growing renewable energy hub.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in energy systems design, strong knowledge of power systems, solar and battery storage integration, and proficiency in CAD and energy modeling tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering is required.
- Experience: minimum 5 years in energy systems design and project implementation.
- Strong knowledge of power systems and renewable energy integration.
- Proficiency with CAD software and energy modeling tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and multi-project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer integrated energy systems including generation, storage, and distribution solutions.
- Perform energy audits and assessments to identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop technical specifications, schematics, and project plans for energy installations.
- Oversee installation and commissioning, ensuring safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with sales and project management to ensure on-time delivery.
- Stay updated on energy technologies and market trends.
