Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Designer 2 to independently develop mechanical physical design deliverables and integrated 3D layouts for oil & gas and power projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and help produce equipment location drawings and piping isometrics.

The role requires extensive 3D plant layout experience and mentoring of junior staff, with a hybrid schedule combining office and remote work, and opportunities to engage in field data gathering as required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in drafting or equivalent technical experience.
• Six+ years of detailed physical design experience in mechanical general arrangements and piping systems.
• Proficiency with 3D plant layout tools and CADWorx/AutoCAD Plant 3D.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical physical design deliverables and 3D layouts for Oil & Gas and Power projects.
• Create 3D models, isometrics, and related drawings in a team setting.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines to deliver integrated plant designs.
• Mentor junior drafters and designers in drafting practices.
• Support field data gathering and client site activities as needed.
