Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to shape supplier strategy and drive cost optimization for manufacturing operations in Portland, OR. You will partner with engineering, quality, and finance to develop sourcing strategies and lead cross-functional projects from concept through execution.

Responsibilities include negotiating agreements, managing supplier performance, and presenting business cases to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, buying, strategic sourcing or related field.
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements, supplier contracts, pricing arrangements, and sourcing strategies.
• Ability to evaluate and select suppliers using analytical tools and data.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term commodity strategies aligned with DTNA and Daimler Truck global objectives.
• Support Supply Chain and Quality teams to improve supplier delivery, quality, and cost.
• Build and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers while driving continuous improvement.
• Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers, materials, technologies, and methods to improve competitiveness and mitigate risk.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance to support sourcing decisions.
