Job summary

Pernod Ricard USA is seeking a Manager, Master Planning in Fort Smith to lead end-to-end production and materials planning for the Fort Smith facility. You will own the integrated planning process, balancing demand, capacity, materials, labor, and inventory to hit service, cost, and operational targets.

You will guide the Materials Planners and Production Scheduler, and partner with plant, supply chain, and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in production planning / master planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in beverage, food, CPG, or regulated manufacturing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the master production plan for the facility, aligning demand forecasts, net requirements, and inventory targets with available capacity.
• Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-range production plans (weekly, monthly, and annual horizons).
• Evaluate capacity constraints and recommend mitigation plans.
• Lead scenario planning for new SKUs, bottling transitions, equipment upgrades, seasonal demand, and line changes.
• Identify risks and trade-offs between service, cost, inventory, and capacity; elevate with clear recommendations.
• Provide direction for raw, packaging, and indirect material planning.
• Ensure materials availability supports the production plan while maintaining inventory targets.
• Partner with procurement and suppliers to manage lead times, shortages, and risks.
• Own inventory health metrics including turns, E&O, and aging.
• Oversee detailed production scheduling to ensure efficient line sequencing and adherence to the master plan.
• Partner with operations to manage schedule adherence, changeovers, downtime, and recovery plans.
• Support daily/weekly execution reviews and adjust plans as required.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Materials Planners and Production Scheduler.
• Establish clear roles, priorities, and standard work within the planning function.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning tools, processes, and data accuracy.
• Act as primary planning interface with Demand Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, and Operations.
• Support S&OP / IBP processes by providing capacity, inventory, and risk insights.
• Lead Monthly Site Reviews of the Master Plan to identify constraints and communicate changes.
