Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. invites qualified students to join as a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Bellevue, WA. The role focuses on design, analysis, and maintenance of maritime structures, including bridges and waterfront infrastructure.

You will work under licensed engineers and seniors on projects ranging from local waterfronts to large international port developments in cruise, cargo, and ferry sectors. Hybrid work options and formal mentoring are provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Pursuing a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of structural calculations/designs, contract drawings and specifications, cost estimates, construction schedules, engineering reports, and construction/field reports.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and drawing/specification packages for conformance with contract documents.
• Learn and engage in the design of maritime structures from urban waterfront parks to ports supporting offshore wind farm developments, and more.
