Job summary

Talent Shift is seeking a Manufacturing Inventory Analyst for a project-based, hybrid role out of Charlotte, NC, or Chicago, IL. You will perform forecasting, financial reporting, and operational accounting analysis to support manufacturing decisions.

You will analyze costs, trends, variances, and underlying financial assumptions, gather and validate data, and partner with operations and finance to provide clear, actionable reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting, finance, or other related fields.
• 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Financial Analyst, Cost Analyst, or similar analytical finance background.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform forecasting, financial reporting, and operational accounting analysis.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, trends, variances, and underlying financial assumptions.
• Gather and validate data to determine whether manufacturing forecasts and assumptions are proving out.
• Partner with operations and finance teams to provide clear, actionable reporting.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
