Job summary

Dematic seeks a Cost Accountant to support US Operations Finance in Grand Rapids, MI and Salt Lake City, UT. You will work with the Plant Manager and Manufacturing Controller, handling costs, inventory, and financial planning in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities include developing factory forecasts, budgeting, and standard costs, with daily reporting on labor metrics and inventory projections. Strong Excel skills and SAP/ERP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to standard costing is required.
• Experience using SAP or ERP system is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
• Travel up to 5–10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage costs, inventory, and metrics in Dematic’s manufacturing plants.
• Provide analysis and financial guidance to Plant Manager and leaders on site.
• Develop factory financials including forecasts and annual budget.
• Calculate and review standard costs, purchase price variance, and production variances.
• Support daily costing and annual standard cost setting.
• Prepare workload for manufacturing site, including backlog and new business.
• Communicate financial performance daily and drive SQDC improvements.
• Review daily labor metrics and forecast inventory.
