Job summary

Grainger in Indianapolis is seeking an Account Manager to drive sales within a defined geography. You will use Grainger's CRM (Salesforce) to manage 5–10 current accounts generating several million dollars in annual revenue and report to the District Sales Manager of Manufacturing.

You will build relationships, respond to customer needs, forecast opportunities, and execute account penetration strategies to maximize sales in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct outside sales experience.
• Travel required to each customer within aligned market at least once per month.
• Ability to forecast opportunities and manage a sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer goals and respond to changing needs.
• Demonstrate market data knowledge to respond to developments.
• Oversee managed inventory tasks to grow customer understanding and sales.
• Articulate Grainger's Value Proposition to grow profitable sales.
• Develop account penetration strategies including regular business reviews.
