Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Loss Prevention Manager (ALPM) to safeguard assets and lead shortage reduction across stores and districts. The role partners with store teams to minimize theft, manage investigations, and drive safety and compliance.

The ALPM will supervise SPS personnel, support annual inventory processes, and implement loss prevention initiatives with a focus on operational excellence and team development within a large retail network.

Qualifications

• BA degree or greater preferred.
• 5+ years directly-related, multi-unit Loss Prevention and/or Retail work experience.
• Experience driving successful loss prevention, shortage control, accident reduction and fraud prevention programs.
• Self-motivated, fast-paced environment adaptability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Loss Prevention technologies (including CCTV systems).

Responsibilities

• Lead Loss Prevention initiatives to minimize shortage and ensure safety across assigned stores/districts.
• Develop action plans with store leadership to address shortage risks.
• Manage investigations and coordinate with HR and law enforcement as needed.
• Oversee Store Protection Specialists and participate in hiring/training/mentoring.
• Maintain records and reports of theft activity and investigations.
• Ensure adherence to budget guidelines and company policies.
