Job summary

Tessco LLC in Reno, NV is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage inbound, outbound, and third-party shipments, optimizing transportation costs and service levels. You will monitor KPIs, coordinate with 3PLs and carriers, and use TMS tools to ensure on-time delivery.

Requirements include 2+ years in logistics or transportation, experience with parcel/LTL/FTL and international logistics, plus strong Excel/data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation.
• Experience with parcel, LTL, and FTL shipping, and working knowledge of international logistics and Incoterms.
• Knowledge of freight markets and transportation regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Preferred: experience in telecom, distribution, or electronics and familiarity with distribution challenges (site-specific deliveries, critical project timing).
• Understanding of network optimization or route planning software.
• Experience with FreightPOP (TMS) or NetSuite (ERP).

Responsibilities

• Support carrier selection by evaluating rates, performance, and capacity.
• Monitor daily shipments both domestic and international (parcel, LTL, FTL, and air freight) and ensure alignment with delivery SLAs and customer expectations.
• Assist with international shipments as needed, working with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Track and report on KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost per mile, damage rates, and order cycle time.
• Assist in developing transportation models and simulations to forecast shipping needs and optimize routing.
• Collaborate with 3PLs, carriers, and internal warehouse teams to streamline inbound and outbound transportation processes.
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to manage shipments, improve visibility, and maintain accurate data.
• Resolve shipping delays, damage claims, or service issues promptly and professionally.
