Job summary

American AgCredit is seeking a Retail Documentation Specialist to manage the document preparation process for mortgage and commercial loans in a centralized loan documentation department.

You will review and draft a wide variety of loan documents, ensure closing conditions are met, and coordinate with lenders and staff to maintain accuracy and efficiency. This role supports multiple collateral types and requires strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus at least two years of post-high school education.
• Three years' experience documenting mortgage and/or commercial loans.
• Knowledge of legal requirements for documenting loans secured by real and personal property.
• Ability to generate highly accurate work and make independent decisions.
• Prioritization / Time Management: demonstrates ability to assess multiple tasks and set priorities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on tight time constraints and negotiate deadlines.
• Continuous Learning: seeks performance feedback and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze loan packages to independently prepare loan documentation.
• Manage loan preparation for loan servicing actions including assumptions, releases, and covenants.
• Examine loans for compliance and instruct staff as needed to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure all closing conditions for the loan are reflected in final documents.
• Review trust certifications and entity documentation to determine authority for signers.
• Review appraisal reports to determine collateral value and required security documents.
• Prepare documents to perfect AAC's lien on collateral and identify closing issues.
• Draft escrow instructions for real property secured transactions with title endorsements.
• Prepare and draft loan conditions precedent and financial covenants.
• Answer inquiries and provide information to branch personnel and lenders.
