Job summary

MEMBERS ONLY in Cincinnati seeks a detail-driven Loan Closing Specialist to manage the closing of diverse loan portfolios, from predevelopment to permanent financing for affordable and market-rate housing and community development projects.

You will coordinate with borrowers, attorneys, and loan officers; maintain closing records; support loan servicing; and help ensure timely closings, accurate files, and strong partner relationships in a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; paralegal cert is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in loan closing, loan servicing/operations, banking, title/escrow, or real estate transactions.
• Experience with affordable housing, multifamily lending, or community development finance preferred.
• Familiarity with LIHTC, HTC, NMTC, and other publicly supported housing initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate loan closing across a varied portfolio including affordable and market rate housing and community development projects.
• Develop and maintain closing checklists; collect, prepare, and review required loan forms and due diligence.
• Serve as primary contact among loan officers, borrowers, attorneys, and third-party partners.
• Partner with legal counsel on loan document prep and post-closing items.
• Review loan documents to ensure terms and policy compliance.
• Enter, review, and maintain loan data and closing records.
• Provide updates on closing status to internal stakeholders.
• Support day-to-day loan servicing activities and processing.
• Assist with borrower reporting and project documentation collection.
