Job summary

Orion Placement seeks a Litigation Paralegal in Berkeley, CA, with a hybrid schedule (three days in office, two remote). You will support attorneys on high-profile class action and complex litigation matters, handling briefs, filings, and case preparation.

Requirements include 2+ years of paralegal or litigation assistant experience, strong organization, and proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel. A Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate is preferred; federal e-filing and Bluebook

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation paralegal or legal assistant experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
• Federal court e-filing, Bluebook, or complex litigation experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, format, proofread, and organize legal briefs, pleadings, and court documents.
• Assist with federal and state court e-filing, deadline tracking, and case management.
• Support deposition preparation, including organizing exhibits and case materials.
• Cite-check legal documents, assist with Bluebook formatting, and ensure accuracy.
• Help attorneys prepare for hearings and oral arguments.
• Maintain organized electronic case files and confidential client information.
• Collaborate with attorneys and colleagues to keep litigation projects on track.
