Job summary

Stride Recruitment seeks a talented Litigation Associate for a highly regarded boutique in New York City, blending media, entertainment, technology and IP. This role offers broad exposure and early responsibility working with partners and sophisticated clients on a varied docket.

Based in Downtown Manhattan with a hybrid in-office/remote model, you will handle a broad slate from copyright and trademark to First Amendment and creator economy matters, with direct client interaction and meaningful

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of litigation experience.
• Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility for admission.
• A JD from an accredited law school.
• Excellent legal research, writing and analytical skills.
• Demonstrable interest or experience in media, entertainment, IP or related industries.
• Experience with or interest in copyright, trademark, First Amendment or other media-related matters.
• The ability to work across different types of matters and adapt quickly to new subject areas.
• A genuine interest in culture, media and the creative industries.
• The confidence to work directly with partners and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad and varied litigation docket across copyright, trademark and IP matters.
• Handle First Amendment and constitutional issues.
• Litigation in media, entertainment and newsgathering contexts.
• Pre-publication and pre-broadcast review and clearance.
• Litigation involving film, television, theater, podcasts and other content.
• Commercial disputes affecting media and technology businesses.
• Creator economy and emerging digital media matters; legal research and briefing.
• Depositions, hearings and trial preparation; direct client collaboration.
