The ideal candidate holds a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, is licensed to practice in the state, has at least two years in a practice group, and demonstrates excellent research, writing, and communications skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school required.
• Active state license to practice law; other bar admissions a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years in a practice group.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional demeanor with strong client-relations and communication skills.
• Must be responsive and organized; able to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and stakeholders to deliver strategic legal advice.
• Manage deadlines and assignments with ownership and independence.
