Qualifications

• 3–4 years of litigation experience.
• Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility for admission.
• A JD from an accredited law school.
• Excellent legal research, writing and analytical skills.
• Demonstrable interest or experience in media, entertainment, IP or related industries.
• Experience with or interest in copyright, trademark, First Amendment or other media-related matters.
• The ability to work across different types of matters and adapt quickly to new subject areas.
• A genuine interest in culture, media and the creative industries.
• The confidence to work directly with partners and clients.

An exceptional opportunity for a talented Litigation Associate to join a highly regarded specialist boutique at the intersection of media, entertainment, technology and intellectual property.

This is not a traditional litigation role where associates are confined to one narrow practice area. You will work alongside leading practitioners on some of the most interesting and sophisticated disputes affecting the modern media and creative industries — from copyright and trademark disputes to First Amendment, newsgathering, production and creator economy matters.

What You'll Be Doing

You will work across a broad and varied litigation docket, including:

• Copyright, trademark and intellectual property disputes
• First Amendment and constitutional matters
• Media, entertainment and newsgathering litigation
• Pre-publication and pre-broadcast review and clearance
• Litigation involving film, television, theater, podcasts and other creative content
• Commercial disputes affecting media and technology businesses
• Creator economy and emerging digital media matters
• Legal research, complex briefing and motion practice
• Depositions, hearings and trial preparation
• Federal and state court proceedings
• Working directly with clients and partners on litigation strategy

Compensation

$155,000–$175,000 base salary + bonus + comprehensive benefits
