Job summary

OTC Markets Group in New York City is seeking an entry level Linux Engineer / SRE to join the IT Infrastructure team. This hands-on role focuses on strong Linux fundamentals, scripting, and growing into automation and infrastructure-as-code.

You will work with experienced engineers to support production systems, while gaining room to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility over time. The role offers a hybrid schedule with three days in office and two remote.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Linux experience (Red Hat 8+ preferred).
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
• Familiarity with Ansible and GitHub workflows.
• Understanding of REST APIs and web UI concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Linux-based production infrastructure.
• Develop Ansible playbooks to automate tasks.
• Build Python tooling to improve reliability.
• Support monitoring, backup, and storage systems.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows using GitHub.
• Collaborate on system stability and performance improvements.
