Job summary

Michigan Farm Bureau in Lansing, MI is seeking a Life & Annuity Sales Specialist to drive insurance and retirement product sales through consultative engagements. You will educate customers and agents, assess needs, and recommend suitable solutions while managing opportunities end-to-end.

The role is hybrid, with remote work from Michigan and on-site work at the Lansing center. A relevant degree and MI license plus ALMI/ACS CE certifications are required or soon obtained.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in marketing, insurance, business, or related field.
• ALMI and/or ACS designations required, or equivalent education.
• Minimum three years' experience in insurance industry.
• Active State of Michigan life license required, or must be obtained within 35 days.
• Annuity Best Interest CE Certification required or must be obtained within 60 days.
• Strong computer skills and understanding of sales, marketing and customer service.
• Knowledge of various approaches to marketing, customer service, and sales.

Responsibilities

• Drive life insurance and annuity sales through direct customer engagement and consultative sales practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers, educating on solutions.
• Conduct needs-based sales conversations to assess goals, risk, and protection needs.
• Educate customers and agents on product features, benefits, and options.
• Manage sales opportunities from prospecting to policy placement and servicing as needed.
