Job summary

Esaote North America, based in Fishers, Indiana, seeks a Legal & Compliance Manager to protect the organization, enable growth, and strengthen the U.S. legal and compliance framework.

The role combines contract review, HIPAA/privacy oversight, and risk management in a fast-moving business. Reporting to the CFO, you will collaborate with Finance, IT, Operations, and Sales to implement practical, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of legal, contracts, or compliance experience within a regulated U.S. industry.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Working knowledge of healthcare compliance, HIPAA, data privacy, and commercial legal principles.
• Strong analytical and risk-assessment capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex legal concepts to business stakeholders clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial contract review and negotiation across purchase, distribution, licensing, confidentiality, vendor and other agreements.
• Serve as HIPAA Privacy Officer and support privacy compliance and data privacy requirements.
• Provide U.S.-focused legal and commercial risk guidance to leaders and stakeholders.
• Monitor federal, state and local regulatory developments and translate into practical actions.
• Draft, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Develop standardized contracts, templates, and framework documents to reduce risk.
• Maintain legal documentation and contract records for governance and audit readiness.
