Job summary

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is seeking a Practice Systems & Applied AI Analyst to join the Information Services Department in New York. The role focuses on evaluating, implementing, and supporting cutting-edge AI solutions within a leading law firm.

You will work closely with lawyers, analysts, AI engineers, and leadership to advance thoughtful AI adoption across practices. The position is full-time, hybrid, and based out of our New York office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in a large law firm or professional services is preferred.
• Interest and expertise in AI, especially in the legal sector.
• Curious, solution-oriented, and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-evolving field with strong analytical skills.
• Understanding of data privacy, information governance, and ethics in law.
• Familiarity with KM tools, intranets, or collaboration platforms (preferred).
• Working knowledge of content management and web apps (SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI leadership to identify and implement advanced legal AI solutions.
• Lead engagements with attorneys to identify and implement AI use cases.
• Design, test, and refine AI prompting strategies and legal workflows.
• Drive adoption of AI solutions among attorneys and staff.
• Lead change management to foster adoption and confidence in AI.
• Leverage prompt/context engineering to strengthen AI capabilities.
• Evaluate AI platforms, APIs, and integrations for legal practice.
• Translate between legal and technical requirements for developers and vendors.
• Contribute to training programs, workshops, and demonstrations.
• Provide responsive support and guidance to users.
• Track trends and create best-practice guides for AI use in law.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AI developments and applications.
• Independently manage and execute special projects.
