Job summary

Duke University is seeking a Learning Technology Engineer within the Digital Experience and Academic Technology Services (DEATS) team of the Office of Information Technology. The role focuses on shaping the Open Academy platform for faculty, students, and academic partners.

You will collaborate with faculty, researchers, and developers to enhance the platform, support users, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/EDU Tech or equivalent experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-service orientation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, technical support, and user engagement for the Open Academy Platform.
• Serve as liaison with platform developers to support enhancements and fixes.
• Consult with faculty and partners to integrate Open Academy into courses.
• Analyze user feedback and performance data to drive improvements.
• Support teaching and learning initiatives with faculty on new uses.
• Develop and maintain training materials, workshops, and online resources.
• Maintain expertise in teaching/learning technologies and related OIT services.
