Job summary

NYSTRS seeks a Team Development & Resources (TDR) Student Intern for summer 2027. The role supports learning design, staff engagement, and administrative tasks within Training and Development and Organizational Development teams.

The internship runs June–August and offers hands-on experience in educational programming, event coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. The position emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and initiative.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree program with at least one semester remaining.
• Position is a temporary, full-time appointment for the summer of 2027 (June through August).
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the facilitation of divisional programming and staff engagement opportunities.
• Develop and deliver inclusive educational programming for NYSTRS staff.
• Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends.
• Track progress, priorities, and deadlines of various TDR projects.
• Assist with divisional intranet site upkeep and innovation.
• Provide general administrative support to the TDR team.
