Job summary

Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies is seeking a Software Test Automation Manager to lead a global automation program within the Software Quality Engineering group. You will own the automation system, define strategy across sites, and guide SDETs through scalable frameworks and AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities include building a unified automation approach, integrating with CI/CD, enforcing coding standards, and driving continuous improvement in test practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in software test automation across the full development lifecycle.
• Experience building and scaling automation frameworks.
• Experience in regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of SDETs, coaching and performance management.
• Serve as hands-on technical leader of the automation system and define global strategy.
• Establish and enforce a unified automation approach across all sites.
• Define and implement automation operating mechanisms.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test harnesses.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts aligned to SQE test cases.
• Ensure automation is driven by SQE priorities and test coverage.
• Embed AI-assisted development to accelerate scripting.
• Review AI-generated automation code for quality.
• Partner with DevOps to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Enforce coding standards and best practices for scalable tests.
• Analyze results, drive root cause analysis, and report defects.
