Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Lead Engineer I, Software Developer to join the Ignition Tax Product organization in a hybrid role based in Denver or Atlanta. You will translate business needs into AI-powered features, design scalable microservices, and build client-facing apps using Angular and Python/.NET on Azure.

You will integrate LLMs and ensure robust deployment and security across services in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering required
• Five+ years of software development and systems architecture experience
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Experience with Python, .NET/C#, Angular, SQL and Azure
• Strong Python skills and ML framework experience (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into AI-powered features and APIs with product owners and data scientists
• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for model inference (Azure or similar)
• Build client-facing web apps in Angular + TypeScript with Python or .NET backend services
• Secure SQL databases (T-SQL, schema design, stored procs)
• Leverage Azure services (App Services, Functions, SQL Database, DevOps) for deployment, scaling and monitoring
• Integrate Large Language Models and other AI services into front-end and back-end systems
• Uphold KPMG's values and professional environment
