Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Limited in Nevada seeks a Senior Project Metallurgist to lead metallurgical study work for the Nevada Projects portfolio. You will oversee testwork, sample selection, and technical reviews to ensure robust flowsheet development.

You will collaborate with EPCM teams, support design reviews, cost estimates, and operational readiness while maintaining safety governance and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering or related process discipline.
• Advanced degree or specialized postgraduate training preferred.
• Proficiency with metallurgical and engineering software platforms.
• 5–7 years of experience in project metallurgy, mineral processing, or ore processing operations.
• Background in gold processing operations desirable, including HPGR, heap leaching, or filtered tailings systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead metallurgy scope for scoping-level concept studies and Pre-Feasibility/Feasibility Studies alignment.
• Author and compile metallurgy and processing sections of technical study reports.
• Design, manage and execute metallurgical testwork programs with labs.
• Review EPCM deliverables and support process design criteria, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Lead technical and economic trade-off studies to optimize flowsheets.
• Support CAPEX/OPEX estimates, reagent forecasts, and operating philosophies.
