Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti North America (AGANA) is seeking a Project Metallurgist to support metallurgical and process engineering activities across Nevada projects. You will work with the Metallurgy Superintendent and Processing & Metallurgy Manager on characterization, studies, and technical evaluations from concept through feasibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related field.
• Advanced degree or postgraduate technical training preferred.
• Proficiency with industry‑standard engineering, metallurgical, and data analysis software.
• 2–5 years of experience in metallurgical/ process engineering or mineral processing operations.

Responsibilities

• Support metallurgical activities for Concept Studies, PFS, and FS aligned with project stage-gate requirements.
• Prepare metallurgy and processing sections of technical reports and study documentation.
• Contribute to technical evaluations supporting process selection, recovery optimization, and project economics.
• Support development of metallurgical assumptions used in project planning and decision-making.
• Design, execute, and manage metallurgical testwork programs with external labs and service providers.
• Coordinate sample collection, preparation, shipment, and chain‑of‑custody requirements.
