Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti North America (AGANA) seeks a Project Metallurgist to support metallurgical studies, testwork programs, and process evaluations across Nevada projects. You will collaborate with the Metallurgy Superintendent to deliver technically sound flowsheets and robust economic assessments.

The role emphasizes data analysis, safety, and regulatory compliance, with a flexible/hybrid schedule and opportunities for travel to project sites and laboratories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical or related engineering discipline.
• 2–5 years of metallurgical/process engineering experience.
• Experience with heap leaching, flotation, POX, or related processing tech is advantageous.
• Strong writing and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel and legal work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support metallurgical studies and project feasibility aligned with stage-gate requirements.
• Contribute to metallurgical testwork design and sample management.
• Review process designs and identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop CAPEX/OPEX inputs, recovery models and simulations.
• Ensure safety, compliance and continuous improvement in projects.
