Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead distribution design projects in a hybrid work environment. The role includes preparing sketches, reviewing work packages, and supervising a project team across overhead and underground facilities from 4 kV to 38 kV.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in electric utility distribution, strong planning and communication skills, and familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS and related design standards.

Qualifications

• This position requires an Associate's degree in a design-related field or a 4-year non-engineering degree.
• 6 or more years of experience in electric utility distribution or equivalent review experience.
• Knowledgeable in distribution design methods, codes and standards (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE).

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities (4 KV through 38 KV).
• Lead project teams and coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct field work and support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.
• Provide construction support and client communications as needed.
