Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Lead Engineering Technologist/SME to serve as the subject matter expert for Generating Station Distributed Control Systems (DCS). You will provide technical support for operations, maintenance, and projects across coal, natural gas, solar and storage generation facilities, coordinating with OEMs and fleet-wide standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 6+ years with related tech degree.
• 8+ years of experience with degree alternative, or 10+ years without a degree.
• Strong engineering theory and principles; ability to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for operations, maintenance, and projects across multiple generation technologies.
• Lead fleet-level standards, practices, and procedures for DCS SME activities.
• Coordinate communication with internal staff and external OEM support groups.
