Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to support enterprise digital transformation and cloud-based data modernization initiatives. This hybrid role is based in Ft. Washington, PA, and will guide enterprise data architecture and cloud infrastructure.

The Senior Data Engineer will drive data strategy, design data warehouses and lakes, promote automation and CI/CD for data platforms, and partner with executives to align technology with business goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud data ecosystems.
• Experience with Azure Fabric, Data Factory or Synapse.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Business, CS, Finance, IS).

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise data architecture and infrastructure strategies.
• Design data warehouses, data lakes, and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Drive automation, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices for data platforms.
• Partner with executive leadership to align data infrastructure with business strategy.
• Guide cloud resource planning, cost optimization, and capacity management.
