Job summary

ISO New England is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design and maintain enterprise data warehouses, data marts, and BI systems that support decision-making across the organization. You will lead data architecture, drive performance, and mentor a growing team in a hybrid work setting.

The role emphasizes scalable data solutions, collaboration with IT and business stakeholders, and on-call responsibilities to ensure 24/7 analytics readiness.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics.
• 5+ years building scalable data pipelines with SQL and Python.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS).
• Strong relational data modeling and performance optimization.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving best practices.

Responsibilities

• Own Data Architecture & Solution Delivery: design scalable data platforms, data warehouses, data marts, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Drive Platform Performance & Reliability: ensure high availability and production readiness.
• Lead Data Strategy & Integration: align architecture with business goals and integrate data systems.
• Advance Innovation & Technical Leadership: evaluate new tools and mentor the team.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support analytics.
